Tapirs!! Yayy.....as wildlife biologists, one of our jobs was in the Amazon doing tropical bird research, but unfortunately you can spend YEARS in the forests and never see one. Glad to have stumbled on your blog :)
Very nice to meet you, Carrie! I spent a week in Belize once, but sadly saw no tapirs. They are my very favorite critters though, especially mountain tapirs. Some day I hope to see one in the wild, although I know that's a long shot!

i miss working at a zoo :( i used to be the dietitian at a place in northern cali called safari west...i miss the place SOOO much..your one lucky lady :)
